Habitat Haven Backyard Certification Program

A Program of Lane County Audubon Society

Learn about a new backyard habitat certification program in the Eugene/Springfield area called “Habitat Haven”.  This program began certifying backyard habitats in May 2024.  Run by the Lane County Audubon Society, this program is modeled after a similar program in the Portland metropolitan area which started in 2006 and is now run by a collaboration between the Bird Alliance of Oregon (formerly Portland Audubon Society) and the Columbia Land Trust. Our local program is supported by a grant from Upper Willamette Soil and Water District and already has over 50 participants working on attaining certification of their backyard habitats.  Click here for more info.
